The Big Detour
by
Theodore Sares
Sometimes in a boxer's career there comes a pivotal fight, one that turns his fortunes for the good and sends him to bigger and better things. But there are two edges to this knife and one cuts more deeply than the other. The following is about the later, about four fights in which the boxer's career took a sharp detour the nature of which never led him back to the main road.

Photos of London in October, Not Your Typical Autumn Walk
by
Simone Van Bergen
As a keen photographer, London as a city offers many interesting opportunities. There is a mixture of past and present architecture, combined with the busy life of Londoners, tourists and birds. For this photography trip I choose to visit the heart of the city (and the country), have a quick tour through Theaterland, after which I walked part of the Thames path, before ending the day with a great dinner around Covent Garden.

2013 Fantasy Football Sleepers
by
Bill E Parsons
Fantasy football leagues are most often won via a successful draft... and a little luck. Much of this is due to the ability to spot and draft at least one quality Sleeper. This article discusses potential Sleepers at each position for the 2013 fantasy football season.

Replacement Ref Madness - What's All the Fuss?
by
Doug Rogers
How could we have expected these "replacement" refs to come in and do nearly as good a job as the "real" refs. Presumably, if they were that good and that well trained they would have already been in the NFL to begin with (and therefore also on strike themselves). My take is that these poor fellows have been asked to do something that they've never done before, not been fully trained to do, and are therefore relatively less qualified than their striking counterparts. Duh. Under those circumstances, is there any gambler out there who would have bet against this kind of a quality setback in refereeing? Of course not.

Analysis of the Green Bay Packers' 2010 Draft
by
Denis Krusos
Chad Clifton and Mark Tauscher are both old and declining at left and right tackle. Bulaga has good feet and understands the importance of technique and working on his craft. He has an excellent chance to be a good left tackle with more strength work. The former Iowa standout represented value as a late 1st round selection.

2008 Hawaii Bowl - Charlie Weis Era at Notre Dame Finally Arrives, Irish Speed Past Hawaii, 49-21
by
Ed Bagley
It was a very, very long two years, but the Charlie Weis Era at Notre Dame finally arrived at the Hawaii Bowl when the Fighting Irish flew by a slower Hawaii team, 49-21, mercifully ending Notre Dame's negative, burdensome 9-game bowl losing streak. The Irish had not won since its 24-21 victory over Texas A
M in the 1994 Cotton Bowl, 15 years ago following the 1993 season.
